Our mission is to educate the hearts and minds of young children to know and love God and prepare them for the next step in their education and development by providing a loving and supportive environment, age-appropriate educational activities, social and emotional interactions with peers and communicating biblical truths in a meaningful way. We strive to partner with families to achieve a positive early childhood experience for every child.

At this time the Second Pres Preschool Board has made the decision to delay the opening of Second Pres Preschool until at least mid-October.

This decision has not been taken lightly. The board has taken in information from DCFS, the area public school districts, Second Presbyterian Church leadership and reopening task force, and survey numbers from our registered preschool families. Using all of this information we have made the decision to reassess the preschool opening in October. At that time all registered families will be asked again for your comfort level on your child coming back to Second Pres Preschool. The reopening plan will be based on the student surveys, teacher's surveys, Second Pres Church leadership and reopening task force along with guidelines from DCFS.

At this time we do not know what the options will look like for reopening, but they could include virtual preschool classrooms, in-person preschool classrooms, and/or a hybrid of in-person and virtual preschool classrooms. We have the student and staff's safety at the heart of all of our decisions.

Second Pres Preschool has been the home to Bloomington/Normal families for over 60 years and we plan to continue that when it is safe to do so!

As more information is available I will continue to share it with you all.
