The Heart of Christ Fund was started by an anonymous donor who believes in helping people help themselves. The parameters encourage education, respect for self and others, as well as supporting efforts to overcome economic, social and racial barriers. The desire is to help recipients become productive participants in the community.
The fund supports efforts to assist individuals to be physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight. Self-sustainability is important for both the recipient and the mission/agency providing service. The preference is not to contribute to brick and mortar.
Consistent with the church’s historic commitment to be “the heart of Christ in the heart of the community,” the request will be evaluated relative to how it aligns to the fund’s purpose as described in the answers to the questions on the request.
Administration of this purpose will be executed prayerfully and confidentially by the Senior Pastor and a small group of discerning leaders (4 elders) and will be known as the Heart of Christ Fund Review Group.
